Executives of the One Eleuthera Foundation recently met with Acting President of The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institution (BTVI), Dr. Iva Dahl, to solidify the way forward for a one-year apprenticeship program on the island.
During the meeting, One Eleuthera Chief Executive Officer, Shaun Ingraham and Consultant for the foundation’s education and training, Dr. Reginald W. Eldon, took the opportunity to thank Dr. Dahl and the BTVI team for the six-day skills-gap training recently held in Eleuthera for 90 people, between the ages of 16 and 66. They focused on general maintenance courses including electrical installation, plumbing, carpentry and tiling. Also instrumental in the training were the Centre for Training and Innovation and the South Eleuthera Mission.
