Announcing Shakespeare in Paradise 2016 Auditions!

You Can Lead A Horse To Water


July 12 & 13 2016

Ringplay Productions announces the auditions for its upcoming Shakespeare in Paradise theatre festival which runs September 25th thru October 8th at the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts.

Auditions for Macbeth will take place on Tuesday, July 12th, on the Main Stage at the Dundas, starting at 6:00pm.

Auditions for You Can Lead A Horse To Water will take place on Wednesday, July 13th, on the Main Stage at the Dundas, also starting at 6:00pm.

Actors are asked to prepare a monologue no longer than two minutes in length and also be prepared to do a cold reading at the audition. There are no restrictions for auditioning for both productions.

The choice of audition piece is entirely yours and it can be either classical or contemporary. We understand that some people may have difficultly finding an audition piece so we have provided links to fifteen possible male and female monologues:

There is a possibility that some roles could be announced on the evening of auditions. There is also the possibility that callbacks might be needed to finalized the casting.


Rehearsals for both productions are scheduled to begin on August 2nd.


All rehearsals are scheduled to take place at the Dundas Centre either on the Main Stage or in the Black Box Theatre.
