Attention, hopefuls!
SiP Auditions are over!
Auditions were held for Once on This Island, Othello, and Small Axe on July 19, 20 and 24, and rehearsals are set to begin on July 31.
This year, the standard of auditions was very high. Over 30 people aged between 7 and 55 faced their fears and auditioned for some very picky directors!
Although everyone couldn't be successful, we were impressed by the talent and commitment of those who tried out. We want to assure those people who may be disappointed by the casting that in almost every case the decisions made were based on what was right for the particular role rather than on someone not being good enough.
We also encourage individuals to remember that what happens on stage is only the tip of the iceberg, and that we have loads of roles backstage that we need to fill!
