It’s no secret the sun shines brightly in the Bahamas.

With an average temperature of 82 degrees in the summer, you’re going to get hot when you visit Nassau Paradise Island.

The best and most obvious way to beat the heat during your next trip is to get inside. There are a ton of indoor activities to do on the island where you can stay cool.

Visit the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas for a tremendous cultural experience and take the kids to the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Adults will love knowing they can cool down in the largest casino in the Caribbean at Atlantis and Baha Mar.

Another great way to beat the heat is to get wet.

Splash around in the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean or lounge around poolside for the day.

Travelers should also hit the Aquaventure at Atlantis Resort. The water park has 18 water slides and 20 swimming areas as well as a play area for kids.

Last but not least, beat the heat with a cool drink at a swim up bar, at your resort or down at the Fish Fry at Arawak Cay.
