8 Summer Camps
8 Camps were held in 4 communities reaching over 150 local children!
56 Field Trips
Field trips are the most important component of our education program. The majority of students we work with have never snorkeled a reef, visited a blue hole or knew what a mangrove was before participating in a FRIENDS field trip.
128 Classroom Presentations
Students get a first hand look at a crocodile fossil from our partners at the National Museum of The Bahamas. These students had the rare opportunity of an up close viewing of this 4,000 year old specimen.
3 After School Clubs
FRIENDS after school clubs host students ages 3-16. Every week the students arrive with excitement to participate in the week's activities which range from science experiments and field trips for the older students to arts and crafts for the younger ones.
3,005 Students
Each student counts. For every student that participates in our programs we know that there will be one more informed citizen in our community armed with the information they need to make smart choices about the environment.
