It's a Celebration!

of conservation and environmental education in Abaco! Help us start the year off with a bang at one of our Reef Balls next month.

MATCHING CHALLENGE

Double down on your donation by choosing one of the three awesome opportunities below. All funds received before the end of February will be matched by the Devereux Ocean Foundation up to $30,000. The Devereux Ocean Foundation is supporting FRIENDS to do work in coral reef education and conservation, so know that your donation dollars will go that much further!

2. Sponsor an Educational Experience

These experiences are fundamental to our environmental education program, providing the building blocks for an informed and proactive community.

3. Explore Iron Cay

Iron Cay was gifted to FRIENDS by the Laughlin and Gallup Families. It is located in the East Abaco Creeks National Park. To honor their generous donation we want to ensure that future visitors and residents of Abaco can benefit from the cay. Help us lay the foundation for a unique island experience!

Lay the foundation for exploration! - $6,000

FRIENDS will install a simple landing along the shore of Iron Cay to enable boaters to disembark and explore the island. A welcome sign at "Laughlin's Landing" will orient visitors and educate them about Iron Cay.

Be a Trailblazer! - $600

Help us clear a trail through the lush coppice of Iron Cay, revealing unique plants and other features of the island. $600 clears 30 feet of trail, and a trail marker will be placed in your name.

Onboard with Whale Researchers
Spend a day on board with researchers from the Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organisation, learning about their critical work in whale conservation. Keep your eyes peeled for the opportunity to see some of Abaco's whales and dolphins while you are out there!
