PM Dr. Hubert Minnis |
The announcement was made at a press conference Saturday, after Dr. Minnis returned home from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) meetings held in Jamaica.
One of the greater issues discussed at the meetings, he said, was CARICOM’s report on marijuana in the region.
According to the report, some member states, such as The Bahamas, conducted town hall meetings on the matter while others, such as Jamaica, have moved to create marijuana-driven industries in their countries.
It is still unknown what direction The Bahamas will take with regard to marijuana in the country. (via)
