Under the banner, BEAUTY – BRAND – BUSINESS in The BAHAMAS, local entrepreneur Dr. Natasha Carter owner of Pizazz Beauty Shop will be hosting a day of beauty and philanthropy on December 15, 2013.
According to the event host, she has traveled throughout the USA attending various shows where thousands of cosmetologists from around the world converge to upgrade their skills and business, be introduced to new products and trends and to network. Hair Show and Competitions are the conventions for the beauty industry.
Dr. Carter saw an opportunity to marry her vision and to bring visitors to the shores of Grand Bahama to boost the local economy and thus developed a product and branded it IMAGINE HAIR – Hair Show & Competition.
IMAGINE HAIR has attracted A-listed celebrities in the industry, including Karlie Redd of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Redd Product Line and Hair Salon owner; Derek J celebrity stylist of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Oxygen’s Hair Battle Spectacular and Seven Adrin Washington, celebrity stylist for Patti Labelle, Jennifer Hudson, Niki Minaj, Gabrielle Union and others.
Additionally, the event will showcase notable brands as Dudley’s, Kayvel, Hair Basic, Design Essential, Affirm, Black Opal, Ardyss, Exquisite Quay, IT Works, Naturally Here, Baha-Retreat Anti –Aging Spa and many more.
This ultimate Hair Show and Competition to be held at the Grand Lucayan Convention Centre has placed heads in bed for Grand Bahama just in time for the holidays. IMAGINE HAIR as a result of its promotional tours and campaigns is expecting a large contingent of 100 plus cosmetologists and vendors from New Providence, a group of 30 cosmetology students from Abaco along with their mentors and industry professionals from the United States.
IMAGINE HAIR – Hair Show & Competition is now branding internationally as an annual event. We hear about the various niche markets in relations to our tourism product including religious tourism, sports tourism, medical tourism, heritage tourism, eco-tourism and entertainment tourism. We can introduce a new niche in our tourism product that attracts thousands annually from the beauty industry comparative to the Bronner Brothers Show in Atlanta.
Dr. Natasha Carter noted that the beauty industry includes hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, make-up, fashion, jewelry and accessories, skin, health and hair care products, spas and fragrance related businesses. Many times cosmetologists are looked down upon and not respected as business persons. Despite the economic downturn, this industry has seen a steady growth of 3.4% annually since 2008. Globally, it is multi-billion dollar industry with consumers spending in excess of $350 billion a year.
Women, men and children take the time to groom themself to ensure they put their best foot forward when stepping out contributing to this growth. Additionally, cosmetologists play an integral role in the self-image of their clients. Their chair serves as therapy session for the elite to the at-home mom or unemployed dad.
IMAGINE HAIR – Hair Show and Competition promises to live up to its name, if you can imagine it, it will be there. Grand Bahama is invited to be a part of this exciting event that will WOW the audience. Tickets can be purchased at Gizmos & Gadgets or Pizazz Beauty Shop.
