The story follows Kevin as he sets out to find his father whom he has not seen in more than thirty years.

Carlos Bain lights up your NAGB with his refreshing take on Junkanoo

Avid Junkanoo practitioner, Carlos Bain, lights up the Project Space (PS) room for the month of December with a refreshing take on the traditional elements of the annual festival. Using crepe paper, bright colours, organic shapes and the congregation and crowds in the festivities, Bain broadens the representations around Junkanoo and the connectivity of the spirit of communing together.

You are invited to celebrate the works in "Second to None" which will be on view from Saturday, December 8th, 2018 through Sunday, January 20th, 2019.

Robert Longo @ The NAGB
The NAGB is thrilled to present an artist’s talk and Q+A with U.S. artist Robert Longo. Known for his stunning photo-realistic black and white drawings—usually drawn from media and news sources—Longo’s work is both seductive and deceptive.

The talk will be held on Monday, December 10th, starting at 9:30 a.m. and is free and open to the public with a special invitation to practising artists, journalists and students. Come to hear this renowned artist delve into his practice and worldview.

"Yin" Calls Forth a New World of Feminine Transformation
The past two years have been extraordinarily difficult on the psyches of women around the globe. Newsfeeds are full of disturbing stories of sexual assault, the falls from grace of several male celebrities and cultural icons, and the pulling back of dark curtains revealing immense pain and abuses of power in all sectors of our society. Social commentary abounds on how the enormity of this abuse was allowed to go on for such long periods of time. Women from all levels of society began to speak out in large numbers, bringing what was hidden behind closed doors, out into public view.
