PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas — A trip to paradise and a shot at millions of dollars? That’s what awaited Asheville resident Warren Sheaves this week as he cashed in his Platinum Pass — an all-expenses paid trip to the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas for one of the biggest events in poker.
The $30,000 trip included a $25,000 buy-in to the PokerStars No Limit Hold’em Players Championship and six nights at the resort. Sheaves, who makes his living playing poker, may not have won the top prize of $5.1 million, but he made it to the third day of action on Tuesday. Read more >>
