This matching challenge was raised by The Devereux Ocean Foundation in memory of Read Devereux and Kris Colvin, who were friends of Abaco and long time supporters of ocean education and coral conservation.
Each donation received during this challenge will contribute directly to the progress of FRIENDS 2019 - 2021 Strategic Plan, which aims to increase accessibility of environmental education, utilize creative ways to raise awareness about marine conservation, and reinforce best practices for sustainable living, all while maintaining a strong environmental education program.
We raised $14,000 at the Reef Ball in Marsh Harbour, and we are asking for your help to raise the additional $6,000.
It takes all of us working together as a community to protect Abaco's environment. With the support of our donors, FRIENDS will continue educating youth, sharing awareness with visitors, and attracting research opportunities that facilitate our education programs - all of this leading to conservation.
