As the road to Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Kick-Off Weekend in Grand Bahama draws near, organizers are pooling all of their resources to pull off an explosive two-day event come April 17 and 18, 2015 at Taino Beach, which includes the Music Masters Semi-finals Concert and a beach party.
The 19 semi-finalists in the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival CD Song Competition, including Grand Bahama’s Terrell Tynes-Wilson and Georgina Ward-Rigby, will light up the stage on Friday, April 17 to battle for one of the top 10 spots in a chance to win the $20,000 grand prize.
Day two of the historic, electrifying weekend continues with a fun-filled Beach Olympics beginning with a workout session at 6:30 a.m. that is free of charge and open to the entire family.
Director for Beach Olympics Jacquie Rolle explained that in addition to the fitness workout sessions, the power packed two-day event will also include game tournaments and a Kiddie Land.
