The Caribbean’s best scuba diving destinations have the perfect combination: top scuba diving infrastructure; marinas, great dive shops with instructors, guides and educational facilities — along with great hotels, world-class restaurants and plenty to do above the water, too.
The one thing all great dive destinations have in common are healthy reefs — and lots of them. Read more >>

Ian Ferguson: Guiding Workplace Leaders Of The Future
MENTORSHIP is not a new term in the corporate environment. For centuries we have had formal and informal mentors teaching, training and preparing the next generation of leaders. Mentorship is typically defined as the relationship in which a more experienced or knowledgeable person helps to guide someone who is considerably less so.
In the traditional sense it is an employee training system under which a mentor is assigned to act as an advisor, counsellor or guide to a junior or trainee. The mentor is responsible for providing support to, and feedback on, the individual in his or her charge. Many companies have developed systematic and structured mentorship programmes, where the culture is so well shaped that senior leaders understand their primary role to be the development of new and emerging leaders.
This article focuses on the benefits every company, irrespective of its size, will enjoy by developing a mentorship system. Here are the key reasons: Read more >>

Excerpt from The Lost Children of Atlantis:
‘Could these be the ramblings of a nutcase or could this seemingly far-fetched story about “lost children” actually be true?
‘Mira Cullen, an attractive young doctor and psychic, meets old, sick, occasionally delusional Stefanie Brussels. Stefanie claims to know otherwise unheard-of facts as related to the shocking catastrophe of long ago where so many had perished, but no one in their right mind believes her. She also mentions an artifact in her possession that holds “special powers”. Will Mira take anything she says seriously and if she doesn't, what is bound to be the outcome?’
Enjoy!
Best wishes,

By ianthia
It’s been forever since I put my blog’s spotlight on someone I wanted to introduce y’all to. But I recently connected with a girl boss, a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur and now blogger whose go-getter spirit I admire and respect!
I love a hustler!
I love people who go after the things they want to do and be without hesitation and without fear. I love people who aren’t afraid to tap into arenas and careers that are the total opposite of everything they’ve ever done!
In today’s world of sliding in the DMs, Shekia Danielle is proof that the DM you send and/or receive could either be used to start a conversation on a business and career opportunity or mindless conversation.
She chose the former. Read more >>

Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), paving the way for BTVI students who wish to earn Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines.
B-CU continues to expand its global footprint in The Bahamas. In July 2017, the university was accredited by the National Accreditation and Equivalency Council of the Bahamas (NAECOB) to offer online courses, degree programs and have a physical location.
The MOU with BTVI was signed on the Bethune-Cookman University campus in Daytona Beach, Florida. B-CU is one of three private, historically black colleges in Florida.
BTVI’s President, Dr. Robert W, Robertson, noted that the agreement widens the options for BTVI’s students seeking to smoothly matriculate into the institution.
“The agreement provides BTVI students with scholarship options at Bethune Cookman, notably in STEM. We are excited to be able to work with a high quality institution such as B-CU. Some of the key areas being considered for collaboration between the two schools include Computer Technology, Environmental Management, Health Services and Business,” said Dr. Robertson.
B-CU’s Senior Advisor to the President for Institutional Effectiveness and Compliance, Dr. Narendra Patel stated that B-CU has a long tradition of training Bahamian students and he was particularly pleased that the agreement contains a scholarship for BTVI transfer students. He noted that the benefits to students reflect the commitment that B-CU has to furthering its partnership with BTVI.
Also present were some members of the university’s faculty and administrative staff, in addition to some members of the Bahamian Students Association, who presented Dr. Robertson with an honorary medallion to commemorate the event.
Accompanying Dr. Robertson was BTVI’s Dean of Student Affairs, Racquel Bethel, who is also a graduate of the university.
The initiative is aligned with B-CU’s key performance indicators which address increasing global partnerships, increasing access, enrollment and revenue.
